Industrial yet refined, this member of the Smithfield family shines with a versatile grandeur.

Inspiration behind the design:

Jasper Morrison is known for his ability to take the beauty that he sees in the world around him and translate it into his work. To that end, the Smithfield family was named for the Smithfield Market in London, where the artist was inspired by the industrial nature of the fixtures he saw. “I’ve always liked the industrial and functional character of these lights,” he says. “I wanted to make a project out of them, looking for some way of making use of their efficiency in delivering light, and the forms themselves which are so much a part of the good atmosphere of industrial spaces.”
