Elements of Light : A brand book with a twist
19th Oct 2020
Introducing Elements of Light--the first-ever brand book in our company’s history.
This interpretation of our heritage and insight into the beauty and functionality of our Decorative, Architectural, Outdoor, and Custom lighting capabilities offers a closer look than ever before at our illustrious history and design philosophy.
The book highlights the application of Flos lighting in a variety of settings, and an extensive portfolio of premium projects. In addition, it offers a series of interviews with visionary thinkers from the worlds of architecture, cinema, cooking, and art & culture, which explore the unique perception of light in the minds of such ‘luminaries’.
Contract Projects Featured Inside the Book
Let’s take a glance at some of the contract projects in the U.S. highlighted in the book.
Travel in time and style at the newly renovated iconic TWA Hotel, formerly the Trans World Flight Center designed by revered architect Eero Saarinen. A FLOS Custom by Lukas Lighting design, the 4ft and 6ft diameter pendant
lights graciously adorn the ceilings in the 1962 Room and Constellation
Ballroom. See more on this custom project.
FLOS Architectural's Find Me 2 is a retractable, semi-recessed downlight illuminating in the meeting coves located around the edges of the 7,000-square-foot Landmark Hall.
An exquisite, custom circular lighting sculpture composed of multiple rings of LED, providing an inviting welcome.
The addition of Flos' collection of mid-century originals and minimalist contemporary designs dovetailed perfectly with the space's aesthetic.
The LEED Certified 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, designed by local artists, features extensive views of the skyline, bridge, and river. Custom lighting by Lukas Lighting/FLOS USA is seen throughout the corridors, guest rooms, restaurant, restrooms, and lobbies at this Brooklyn Bridge waterfront retreat.
